Never thought I’d say this, but it’s currently July and winter here in Australia. But last week the sun was shining extra bright, and it got up to 30 degrees which meant it was warm enough to break into to my summer wardrobe for a day or two.
Although it was 30 degrees, there wasn’t much humidity, so it was like the equivalent to the two super hot days you get in England when it’s summer. Which for most is super hot, but for me, it was just an average day.
So back in February after months or so of contemplating over it, I finally decided it was time to have a trip to the city and do shopping. Never expecting to come back with anything as I’m super undeceived when it comes to shopping. Think it stems from the fact that I’ve never had a big budget when it comes to shopping, so I’ve always had to pick out my most favorite items and go with those and then save again for the other items I liked and hope and pray that they still be in stock.
Don’t think I’ll know what to do with myself when the days comes that I’ll have enough to buy all the clothes/shoes that I like on my shopping trip.
Anyhow, I’ve been attempting to step out of my comfort zone of only shopping at European and American stores and try an Australian store for a change, so decided to go and check out Seed Heritage. Wasn’t expecting to find anything but walk in and saw this dress on a hook and just knew that I had to try it on. I then found out it was in my size and also the last one in stock so just knew it was meant to be. Tried it on and it was perfect.
Don’t usual go for dark blue, more of a black person, but loved the fact that it was spotted, had a lovely shape to it and on one of the rare occasions was the right length for my 5ft 2 statuses.
The only downsides are that as I’m very small on top and even with the straps on the shortest it does fall down and show my bra from time to time. So might have been better with a smaller size.
This dress has sold out, but here is a link to the same style dress in a different pattern Printed Classic Maxi.
Seed is quite an expensive shop but defiantly worth it if you’re looking for high quality in season fashion. Would say I’d link you to an attentive but have been unable to find anything that looks and fits as good as this and is suitable for a petite person.

Can’t see my shoes in the pics, but I’m just wearing some flat black leather slip on shoes, that I brought a few seasons ago from Windsor Smith. Some of the most comfortable shoes I’ve brought so would defiantly recommend checking out their brand.

This style of shoes does seem to have come back in again this season, so you would probably be able to pick up some reasonably priced ones from Asos.
I did pick up a similar beige and black pair from Nine West a few months ago, which sold out pretty quickly. We’re quite expensive for what there were but were definitely worth it.
Haven’t featured the black pair yet, but here is a post where I feature the beige one’s All about me
If anyone out there has found any maxi dresses for petite people. Please link me in the comments as I’d love to find some more so I can stock up for Summer.
